Addition of screen sharing feature in WhatsApp
Meta continues to add new features to messaging platform WhatsApp. Now a report suggests that WhatsApp is introducing a new feature screen sharing for Android devices.According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature is currently being tested in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android phones. The feature will enable screen sharing during video calls on video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom. In order to share the screen, the user has to call one of their contacts on WhatsApp.
After connecting the call, click on the screen share option at the bottom left corner of the screen. With this feature, users will be able to share their entire smartphone display with friends. However, while screen sharing, WhatsApp will inform you that your contacts on the messaging platform can access all the details like passwords, messages, phone numbers and other personal details during screen sharing.
With this feature, users will be able to share important details with their friends or acquaintances in real time. Generally, such a feature is more helpful in office matters. As mentioned above this feature is currently available in beta version and will be available to all users in the next few weeks or months. Keep in mind that Meta is now adding new features to WhatsApp almost every week. Recently chat lock, message edit and many other new features have become a part of WhatsApp.
